Consulting
Services for Houston VAMC Under GSA LogWorld Contract
GDG
Services is provided consulting services for Inventory Management Specialist
support for the VA's Generic Inventory Package (GIP) for the Houston Veteran’s
Medical Center. This task includes:
- training
on the proper use the CK30 Barcode equipment and proper labeling;
- establishing
correct operating levels on each item in primary and secondary areas;
- elimination
of access in each inventory; stock levels and location in Primaries
and Secondary areas;
- training
on how to auto generate a distribution order from a Secondary to a Primary
inventory;
- training
on usage of a repetitive item list to establish a permanent transaction.
In
addition, GDG Services, LLC performed GIP file maintenance in all six
mandatory inventory points as described below:
- Training
staff how to efficiently manage an inventory using all related reports
to insure each area meets standard item’s performance measures
for the monthly stock status report.
- How to
set operational and reorder levels on each item in a primary and secondary
efficiency rating will depend on staff ability to except and perform
these tasks to performance levels required.
- In addition
to the training hours, using a matrix style system to evaluate, review,
and analyze supply disciplines using operational work schedules to determine
and advise on compatibility of the planned supply support program objectives,
actions, and determining results requirements.
